Service Description

Located near Obihiro city center, in a scenic area with typical Hokkaido rural landscapes, lies the Hiroyuki Mochida Horsemanship Study Center. Owner Hiroyuki Mochida was the first person in Japan to introduce natural horsemanship. Currently, based on his natural horsemanship theory, he conducts workshops nationwide on new horse training, horse obedience and manners, and leading (rein riding), focusing on the horse's inherent nature, behavioral characteristics, and psychology. This activity allows you to experience the world of natural horsemanship while enjoying horseback riding, ground activities for communicating with horses on foot, and horse shows. You will be assisted by the center's dedicated staff, who have studied under Mr. Mochida. Why not spend a wonderful and relaxing time experiencing the wonders of horses amidst the magnificent nature of Tokachi? Program Contents 1. Ground (approx. 20 minutes) First, you will communicate with the horses. Using the horse's natural instincts, you'll guide it clockwise and counterclockwise to communicate your intentions. *You won't actually ride the horse. 2. Riding (approx. 20 minutes) You'll attach the bit and reins yourself, and then finally mount the horse. The horse will move around the riding arena as you wish. 3. Horse Show (approx. 20 minutes) Finally, it's showtime with the staff. The horse, with its reins removed, moves according to the rider's intentions. It's almost like watching magic.
