Service Description
Summer brings lush greenery and lively birdsong. Enjoy Tokachi’s warm, dry summer weather while cooling your feet in a refreshing cold-water footbath. The continental climate of Tokachi’s vast plains can create a temperature difference of more than 50°C between summer and winter. Although these extremes can make daily life challenging, they also shape the region’s beautiful seasonal scenery. Inland summers are relatively hot and dry—perfect for sitting back with your feet in cool water. Take in the peaceful views while enjoying local Tokachi flavours. Savour freshly charcoal-grilled pork over rice, the region’s signature butadon, served with butadon sauce from the renowned Ippin restaurant. Afterwards, enjoy tea time with a selection of local sweets. You may also spot wild animals. Red foxes and a variety of wild birds live nearby, including Hokkaido’s white-headed long-tailed tits, known as shima-enaga. Sightings depend on luck and are not guaranteed, but their presence reflects the richness of the surrounding natural environment.
