Service Description

Cherry blossoms in Tokachi usually reach full bloom around Japan’s Golden Week holidays in early May. Depending on the timing, you can relax beside rows of flowering cherry trees. As the long winter gives way to fresh leaves and budding flowers, the distant Daisetsu mountains remain capped with snow. Take in the scenery and feel the gentle spring breeze. Enjoy local Tokachi food with a view. We serve butadon, the region’s signature pork rice bowl, with pork freshly grilled over charcoal and sauce from the renowned Ippin restaurant. After your meal, settle in for tea and a selection of carefully chosen local sweets. You may even spot wildlife. Hokkaido red foxes and many wild birds live in the area, including shima-enaga, Hokkaido’s white-headed long-tailed tits. Sightings depend on luck and cannot be guaranteed, but these animals are a sign of the rich natural environment around you.
